🧵 Leatherette Application Instructions

This adhesive is made to last — just follow the steps below to get a clean, permanent bond.

🔥 Step-by-Step Application

  • 1. Pre-press the garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and smooth the surface.
  • 2. Position the patch exactly where you want it and secure with some heat tape. Once it's on, it’s not moving.
  • 3. Cover and press for the recommended temperature, time and pressure.
  • 4. Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before touching, flexing, or packaging. This allows the adhesive to fully cure.

Recommended Settings

Top Only Heat Presses

  • Temp: 300ºF
  • Time: 45 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium

Dual Heat Presses

  • Top Temp: 280ºF
  • Bottom Temp: 280ºF
  • Time: 30 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium

Caution: Every heat press and desired cover sheet is a little different — if you're not sure, test on a spare garment first and adjust time and temperature for a proper bond. Better safe than sorry.

💡 Pro Tips

  • Machine washing is not recommended — hand wash only for best results.
  • Great for hats, bags, and apparel — but always test first with heat-sensitive materials.
